The National Pokédex

After you defeat the Elite Four in Pokémon Diamond or Pokémon Pearl, see all 150 Pokémon in the Sinnoh Pokédex, and rise to Pokémon Champion status you'll be given an expanded Pokédex known as the National Pokédex. This will reorder the Pokémon in your Sinnoh Pokédex to make room for the several hundred Pokémon from previous games in the series, and more!

The Sinnoh Pokédex

Early in your quest in Pokémon Diamond or Pokémon Pearl, Prof. Rowan will give you the Sinnoh Pokédex, an advanced dual-screen computer that collects data on every Pokémon you encounter. The Info screen of each Pokémon entry offers a description of the Pokémon as well as information about its type, height, weight and more.

As you encounter Pokémon in the wild and in Trainer battles, your Pokédex will fill with information about them that you can access at any time after the fight. The Pokémon that you've caught, evolved, or received in trades will appear with a Poké Ball symbol next to their name.
